Schenectady Eyecare & Eyewear has the health and safety of our patients and employees as our highest concern. Due to COVID -19, we have canceled all routine yearly eye exams until at least April 6. We are closely monitoring the recommendations of federal and state agencies. We will notify you when routine eye exams will resume. Missed exams will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

If you have an eye health emergency, please call the office. Examples of urgent conditions include a red, painful eye, sudden vision loss, flashes and floaters or foreign body. Dr. Pereira will discuss with you what is the appropriate action needed. Tele-health encounters and in-office appointments are options.

The office is disinfected frequently and CDC guidelines on hygiene are followed carefully.

You may call the office at 518-374-1882 if you need a prescription refill for eye medications, or for orders of glasses or contact lenses. When eyewear is ready, we will call you. Pickups are done in the parking lot to minimize exposure.

Times for pickups are:

Tuesday: 10:00- 11:00 am
Thursday: 3:30- 4:30 pm

Please call when you are in the parking lot and glasses will be brought out to you.
